The 2025 GT Cup Europe Champions celebrated in style at the Awards night in Madrid

The 2025 Champions of the three GT Sport-promoted series, the International GT Open, the GT Cup Europe and the Euroformula Open, were duly celebrated Friday evening in a glittering GT Sport Awards Ceremony in central Madrid, already in full Christmas lights gear.

Once again, the lavish baroque Casino de Madrid served as a spectacular setting for the event, hosted by Jesús Pareja, CEO of GT Sport, Jean-Philippe Desfarges, Head of Customer Racing of Michelin, and Joaquín Verdegay, Vice President of the Real Federación Española de Automovilismo.

Guests could enjoy the gala dinner prepared by Michelin two-star chef Paco Roncero, and the flamenco ensemble La Manuela put a warm and very Spanish musical touch.

Luca Franca and Ian Rodríguez were acclaimed as the champions of an exceptional and competitive 2025 edition of the GT Cup Europe, sharing top honours with Fabio Pampado, team principal of Team FAEMS, which also brought home the Teams’ title.

Close runner-ups Pietro Armani and Ludovico Longoni (ZRS Motorsport), and third classified Lars Zaenen and Gonçalo Fernandes (Q1 Trackracing) also received their well-deserved trophies.

Warmly acclaimed were Pro-Am Champions Laura Van Den Hengel (the first woman to win a title in GT Sport competitions) and Paul Meijer, who defended the colours of Burgers HWM Motorsport, with Davide Scannicchio (Tsunami RT) collecting the runner-up trophy, also on behalf of teammate Fabio Babini.

Leandro Martins and Dieter Svepes (LMR Motorsport) were celebrated as Am Champions for the second year in a row, with Patrick Lamster from Q1 Trackracing taking the trophies for third-classified Nico Vandierendonck and Nathan Brauns.
