Paul Meijers took his second pole of the season in today’s qualifying for Race 1 at spa-Francorchamps. Almost racing at home, the Dutch driver of the Porsche by Burgers Motorsport by HWM shared with Laura van den Hengel, posted a time of 2.19.686. The duo hopes in repeating the great Race 1 performed at Portimão and clinch this time their first victory.
Second-fastest, on home soil, was an impressive Lars Zaenen, the fastest of the Q1 Trackracing delegation, 0s733 behind the leaer.
In row 2 will start reigning Am champion Dieter Svepes (LMR, +0s840) and young Italian Cosimo Papi (Ebimotors, +0s899), despite an incident with the LMR Pors0che of Nunes.
In row 3, Fabio Babini (Tsunami, +0s878) will be joined by Spanish young gun Tommy Pintos, who took a sensational sixth in the debuting McLaren Artura Trophy by SMC.
The fourth row is tr0usted by young guns, with Antoine Berberich-Martini, in the fastest of the Mertel Ferraris (+1s165) and Estonian returnee Alex Reimann (EST1, +1s246).
