It was a contrasted day of free practice at the Hockenheimring, courtesy of the changing weather, warm and humid, with a succession of showers.
For the GT Cup Europe, this meant a wet first session in the morning and a dry one in the afternoon.
On damp track, the fastest car was the Q1 Trackracing Porsche of Stienes Longin-Nicolas Saelens, with a time of 1.44.137, beating the other Porsche of Laura van dne Hengel-Paul Meijer (Burgers Motorsport by HWM) by 1s075. They were followed by the Mertel Ferraris of Simone Patrinicola-Luca Demarchi (+1s915) and Antoine Berberich-Martini by 2s475.
On dry track, the Burgers Motorsport car took the advantage in 1.41.906, leaving the other Porsches of Pietro Armanni-Ludovico Longoni (ZRS) by 0s595 and championship leaders Ian Rodrìguez-Luca Granca (FAEMS) by 0s825, with the Mertel Ferrari of Patrinicola-Demarchi in fourth (+As115) and Fran Viel Bugliotti (GDL Porsche) in fifth (+1s180).
The best track conditions of the day occurred when the Bronze test took place, with Sebastian Fortuna-Cosimo Papi (Ebimotors Porsche) on top of the rankings in 1.42.107.
Two no shows are to be note: the SVC Lambo #8 and the Volcano Porsche #16.
