Meijer (HWM Motorsport) again in pole

Paul Meijer keeps his record alive : the Dutchman signed his eighth consecutive pole in the GT Cup Europe, as he was fastest in this morning’s qualifying for Race 1, at the wheel of the HWM Motorsport Porsche shared with Jourriaan De Back.

Meijer, who this weekend is also racing in the Nürburgring 24 Hours, stopped the clock in 2.20.034, beating Pietro Delli Guanti (FAEMS Team by Ebimotors) by 0s528.

In second row will be the fastest Pro-Am contender, Borja García (GT Corse, +0s876) and Simone Iaquinta, who debuts in the ZRS Motorsport car (+1s219).

HWM put his other two cars in third row, with Hans Wijs (+1s806) and Lars Zaenen (+1s868).

To be noted that cars #16 (Leonov, Volcano Motorsport) and #911 (Martins-Svepes, LMR) have been inflicted a 6-place penalty on the grid for infringing the testing in event week ban.
