Good late-summer weather, perfect conditions : Monza welcomed the GT Cup Europe in the best possible way for the free practice sessions of Friday.
On their home track and eager to carry on their title bid, Matteo Luvisi and Pietro Delli Guanti posted the best time of the day, in the FAEMS Team by Ebimotors Porsche, in 1.48.096. They beat the HWM Porsche of Fgani Salubre and his new teammate, Kai Rillaerts, by a very short margin, 0s003 only.
They were followed by the BiRace Motorsport car of Lodovico Laurini-Diego Sfifter (+0s290) and the ProAm leaders Alejandro Barambio-Borja García (GT Cors, +0s309).
Standings leaders Jurriaan De Back-Paul Meijer (HWM) were only fifth ahead of the debuting Leipert Motorsport Lambo of Axel Bengtsson-‘Wolfe’ (+0s503).
Dieter Svepes and Leandro Martins (LMR) were fastest in Am and 10th overall, and Alejandro Barambio topped the Bronze session.
