A new entry joins the GT Cup Europe for the last two rounds of the season in Barcelona and Monza: Aggressive Team Italia. The Milan-based squad formed in 2013 has been active and successful in the Lotus, in TCR series (Italy, Europe and World) and has lately made its GT debut with Lamborghini Huracáns SuperTrofeo. It is with those cars that it will be competing in the remainder of the 2025 GT Cup Europe season, with a view to a full campaign next year.
For its debut at Barcelona, Aggressive Team Italia has chosen a stellar pair that needs no presentation: double champion Iván Velasco from Spain and Anny Frosio from Switzerland.
In Barcelona, a second car will be in the hands of team principal and Bronze driver Mauro Guastamacchia, who commented: “We are thrilled to join the GT Cup Europe and welcome Anny and Ivan to our team. They are two international talents who will bring energy and expertise to the final two races of the season. It's important for us to continue investing in drivers who share our competitive and professional approach, and we are confident they will be able to perfectly interpret our Lamborghini ST EVO2.”
Anny Frosio said: “Thanks to participating full-season in last year's GT Cup Europe, an exciting and top-level series, I was able to improve significantly. It was therefore natural for me to return to this championship. Unfortunately, for various reasons, I was unable to complete the full season, but I am returning with great pleasure and motivation for the last two rounds with Aggressive Team Italia behind the wheel of the superb Lamborghini Huracan ST EVO 2. I can't wait to share this magnificent adventure with my fantastic teammate Ivan, and with this team that is working hard to provide us with a top-notch car and structure.”
Ivan Velasco added: "I'm very happy to return to a championship that has given me so much satisfaction in the past, having won the title in 2023 and 2024. I'm delighted to race in the final two rounds in Barcelona and Monza with the Lamborghini ST EVO 2 alongside Anny and with the technical support of Aggressive Team Italia."
