The Leipert Motorsport that won yesterday is keeping the momentum and took pole this morning ahead of Race 2, with Axel Bengtsson at the wheel. The Swede posted a time of 1.47.493, beating the HWM Porsche of newcomer Kai Rillaerts by 0s058 in a warm and sunny Sunday morning.
In row 2 will be local heroes Fabio Babini (Tsunami RT, +0s954) and Lodovico Longoni (ZRS, +1s117), while in third will be Diego Stifter (BiRace, +1s147) and Eugenio Pisani (SP, +1s229).
The best Am was Fernando Navarrete (Tsunami RT, +1s282), in 7th overall.
The two top title contenders had mixed fortune. Jurriaan De Back (HWM) qualified eighth while the FAEMS by Ebimotors Porsche with Matteo Luvisi could only complete one lap before technical problems (clutch) stopped it. It will start from last position.
